FAIR discussion thread

Hey there, where will be deployed FAIR ?

Just my two cents about the Fair airdrop:

  1. Skale stakers (staking through validators running nodes, not those “staking” in centralized exchanges, if that’s even possible) should be favored as they’re directly contributing to securing the network, one of the most fundamental aspects for Skale. Also, stakers are effectively locking up their tokens for at least a month, so they’re less likely to affect the price since they can’t sell during spikes (and in turn helping prop-up the price or making falls in price less steep). Within this group, the team might perhaps give a higher preference to those already staking at the time Fair was first announced, and then use a sliding scale for later months up until the Fair launch/airdrop.

  2. After stakers, those holding their tokens on-chain (either on the Ethereum or Skale network) should be favored as taking snapshots will be (I assume) fairly simple and Fair tokens can be sent directly to those wallets (also using a sliding scale from the time Fair was first announced up until its launch/airdrop).

  3. Finally, those holding skale on centralized exchanges. I would argue that they should be treated equally as those holding Skale on-chain, but as stated before, those holders are effectively subject to the centralized exchanges’ willingness/capacity to do the Fair airdrop; so, is the Fair team taking a risk by sending the tokens to the centralized exchanges and leaving the airdrop up to them?

We understand that the current overall altcoin market performance can be frustrating, but any sort of threats against team members or the community will not be tolerated.
